Can you believe it, another month has whizzed by us. I had hoped the march of time would uncharacteristically slow down somewhat. Just to please me..... is that asking too much?!
I love the long evenings with sunsets at 9-9:30pm and early sunrises around 5:30 am.... or so I am told!! There is something energizing about being out in the sunshine, and I have been taking full advantage of it to get caught up with garden work. It is only fair to add, at this point, that I refer to sitting on the deck and sipping a cold drink as "working on a suntan", but work, none the less.
Some of the weeds, aka, dandelions have come and gone and are being replaced by various and sundry others of their ilk, but upon closer inspection, the lowly dandelion has a beauty and symmetry to it, even in it's dying days.
Closer still, I have to marvel at the intricacy of the fragile seeds and wings, suggestive of a spider webs.
What June would be complete without the obligatory school closings and graduations. We have four grandchildren progressing in their education and we are proud as peacocks of all of them. Our oldest, Rebecca, is going from middle school to high school in September.
Lastly, as I have stated before, I love sunsets and sunrises ( when I see them ) and was out driving in our neighborhood this week and saw this setting sun. Hope you enjoy it as well.
